The Musky Hunter Recently Wins Another 3 Telly Awards

MUSKY HUNTER TV SHOW WINS THREE PRESTIGOUS TELLY AWARDS … AGAIN

Fourth Season to Begin in January

(Deerfield, IL, July 17, 2009) Two episodes in the third season of The Musky Hunter were recently named winners in the 30th annual Telly Awards contest, which honors outstanding local, regional and cable TV programs, and the finest film and video productions. The popular fishing show also won two Telly awards after its 2007 inaugural season.

Episode 4, titled “Grind it Out,” received awards for editing, videography and cinematography. Episode 7, “Creatures of the Edge,” won for videography and cinematography. Both episodes are part of season three’s DVD, now available along with season one and two, at muskyhuntertv.com. Jim Saric Outdoors also announced that season four of The Musky Hunter will run on several local cable and satellite networks starting in January.

“The fact that we won 5 Telly awards in the first 3 years of The Musky Hunter is a testament to the great deal of effort we put into producing the show,” said Jim Saric, Producer and Host of The Musky Hunter. “ We have an incredible production crew. Heather Brown of Rusty Dog Films, Inc. is a very talented and creative editor. My camera operators, Jim Lucy, from HangLuc productions and Rik Brown from Rusty Dog Films, Inc. provide her with outstanding, cutting-edge footage from our musky fishing adventures. Filming a musky fishing show is extremely difficult and th ese awards validate our efforts. Winning a Telly in the cable industry is considered among recipients like winning an Oscar.”

With nearly 11,000 entries from all 50 states and around the world, this year’s 30th anniversary has been one of the most competitive and successful in the long history of the Telly Awards. A June 29th press release issued by the program indicates that winners represent the best work of the most respected advertising agencies and production companies in the world. One of the statements in the release says: ‘when you consider that entrants submit only their very best work as well as the extremely high number of entrants, earning a Telly Award is a significant creative achievement.’

The Musky Hunter is the first television show ever dedicated solely to the hard-to-catch musky. It covers the basics of catching muskies to strategies and secret tips for fishermen who have been chasing the fish for years. Filming of season four is well underway and the show will begin airing again in January of 2010. According to Saric, some first-ever seen on TV musky footage will be among the highlights in this incredible fourth season.
